...What I Know For Sure! (about Business)
As I am in my quest for another great professional opportunity I think about 'must-haves, nice to haves and don't really need' dynamics in my new workplace. There are, however, a few things I believe about a professional business, no matter what size, revenue or stage of development.
I know for sure that:
1) Professionals at every level are responsible to communicate effectively, offering a genuine, strong and positive message focused on strengths.
2) Employees shouldn't be amazed by collaboration, it must be the norm of everyday.
3) Knowledge is to be shared, disseminated, bequeathed, not selfishly hidden or held hostage.
4) The success of girls is paramount to everyone, S.T.E.M. ensures the positioning of young women to compete in the top echelons of industries.
5) Millennials are the future and we have more potential than given credit for and since one of the stereotypes is that we love training, what we don't know, we are eager to learn.
6) Experiencing differences makes us stronger and brings our similarities to light.
7) Community service is great for business.
8) Life is negotiable, risks are worth it, but both should be considered with care by experts capable of ascertaining consequences.
9) Innovation is great, change is constant and disruption can be productive.
10) A company's relationship with employees affects the service of its customers.
In a nutshell, this is What I Know For Sure, so far.
OK, I am ready to work hard, contribute to a team and learn more - Let's get to work!
